Our interests follow our vision, passion and experience. 


The interest areas below are where we have worked for many years, and where we are currently assisting clients and doing research.

  • Designing and implementing operational audit programs that are risk-informed and effective in delivering actionable insights for management regarding operational risk and compliance. 
  • Extracting value from audit programs. Designing operations audit processes that are practical and drive learning and continual improvement. 
  • Creating audit program documentation, procedures, training programs and tools that leverage in-place resources and integrate effective practices for operational auditing. 

Management System Design and Implementation

  • Creating practical, risk-informed management processes that leverage in-place processes and focus on straightforward support for effective and efficient execution of work. 
  • Diagnosing issues with existing management systems and in-place management processes. Ensuring that management system processes are practical and tightly focused on managing critical risks and compliance issues and assuring the safe execution of work. Eliminating the management system “shelf-ware” that is in place in so many locations.  
  • Focusing on “management” vs. “management systems”. Integrating and simplifying multiple, existing management systems to focus on “management” and deeply embed systematic management practices across the enterprise.  

Navigating Complex Regulatory Environments

  • Translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, sustainable processes that provide for disciplined management of risk and that support compliant performance that meets company objectives. 

Executive Coaching

  • Helping mid-level executives (Director, VP, SVP level) understand how their actions contribute to, or inhibit, achieving organizational objectives.  
  • Assisting leaders in developing presentations and communications that effectively project their vision and message with their staffs, other leaders and external stakeholders.  
  • Providing direct support to their subordinates to drive organizational mission success. 
  • Supporting executives in mentoring emerging leaders. 
  • Helping executives develop and apply effective governance principles and processes to drive continual improvement in the quality of management actions.
